Founded by photographer and creative director Joseph Pessar, Maven Oslo is the result of 20 years of experience at the intersection of storytelling, events, and visual branding.

Joseph founded and led a boutique photography studio in NYC and Miami, where he and his team produced close to 1,000 weddings internationally. At the center of it all was his passion for storytelling, hospitality, and human connection. As both a creative director and business owner, he built a brand known for its warm client experience, elevated aesthetics, and deep understanding of how to translate real moments into meaningful visuals.

When he arrived in Oslo, he brought that vision to life, with a bold idea: a full-scale “fake wedding” for 500 guests, featuring over 28 of Norway’s top wedding professionals. That event redefined what a bridal fair could be—immersive, stylish, and community-focused. It sparked a nationwide series of curated events, including 24 boutique wedding fairs and 9 large-scale productions. One of those, the annual wedding fair at Oslo’s iconic Glasmagasinet, has now run for five years and continues to set the tone for modern event experiences in Norway.

Stylist, fashion expert, and co-host of Høye Hæler & Sneakers, Silje Pedersen is one of Norway’s most trusted voices in fashion and media. Known for launching MinMote and shaping how the country engages with trends and culture, she joined Joseph as the creative force behind Maven’s expansion into fashion-forward events, shopping pop-ups, and influencer-led experiences.
